초록

The purpose of this study is to analyse and compare two Spanish word combination Dictionaries directed by professor Ignacio Bosque; Redes : Diccionario combinatorio del español contemporáneo(2004) and Diccionario Práctico del español contemporáneo. Based on the concept of Lexical Function and influenced by Explanatory Combinatorial Dictionary of Mel’čuk, the Diccionario Redes is different from other collocation dictionaries in which high frequency combinations are usually described. Redes offers its own definition of word combination and lexical restriction based on the theory of language acquisition. In Redes there are four different types of entry; normal entry, analytic entry, conceptual entry, phrasal entry. Especially the meaning or definition of a analytic entry is classified according to the semantic type of combined words. Diccionario Práctico is a revised and abbreviated version of Diccionario Redes in which most of the limitation of the Redes is revised. Firstly, the number of entries has been increased up to 14,000, secondly all the entries are equally described, thirdly the accessibility for the normal users especially for the Spanish second language learners has been remarkably improved. The compilation of two dictionaries is complementary in that Redes offered a theoretical base and a wide range of data for Diccionario Práctico, and without Diccionario Práctico the value Redes would have been underestimated.
