Abstract

This article took note of the epic function of the space constructed and produced by the author in the novel, and prepared the contents of novel teaching to understand and interpret the narrative function of the space as constructed and produced. To this end, the meaning of space was examined and the relationship between space and place was discussed. Then, the narrative function of the space that is constructed and produced subjectively by the person in the novel ‘highlighting the narrative strategy and attitude of the narrator’. They looked at "highlighting the dynamic movement of the workpiece," "highlighting the psychological consciousness of the workpiece," and "highlighting the reality of the workpiece by embodying the world’s experience." Then, after discussing the need to understand the narrative function of space, the content of novel teaching focusing on understanding the narrative function of space was presented at the achievement standard level.
