본 논문은 지그문트 바우만의 언어로 해석할 때 새로운 시작의 연속이 있는 '액체사회'에서 일어나는 사회적 현상에 응답하는 목회신학을 추구하기 위해 몸과 트라우마를 연결시킨 논의이다. 급속히 변화는 사회에 살고 있는 현대인은 지나간 과거를 쉽게 잊어버리는 '사회적 건망증'을 앓고 있다고 필자는 주장하면서 이러한 현실에 대응하기 위해 새로운 목회 신학적 패러다임이 필요하다고 주장한다. '무엇'에 관심을 가지는 패러다임에서 '어디'에 관심을 두는 패러다임으로 전환되어야 한다. 목적과 대상에 관심을 두는 '무엇'의 패러다임에서 몸이 위치한 공간에 관심을 두는 '어디'의 패러다임으로 전환되어야 한다. 이러한 패러다임의 전환은 개인중심적인 경쟁사회에 살면서 ‘사회적 건망증’을 앓으면서 애도의 능력을 천천히 상실하고 반복되는 재난과 폭력에 대한 책임전가와 회피를 쉽게 하는 현대인들에게 제시할 수 있는 목회 신학적 대안이 될 수 있다. 이러한 사회적 현상의 직접적 피해자일 수 있는 트라우마 생존자들에게 적절한 목회상담을 제공하기 위해 ‘어디’의 패러다임과 연관이 있는 피터 레빈의 신체경험기법을 목회 신학적 관점으로 설명한다. 피터 레빈의 신체경험기법은 몸의 감각을 통해 트라우마 생존자가 현실에 접지, 수위조절, 진자운동, 제자리 찾기를 수행하면서 사회적 현실에 적응할 수 있도록 돕는다. 신체경험기법의 목회 신학적 성찰은 몸의 목소리가 몸이 처해진 사회적 공간과 생태적 공간을 알아차리고 하나님의 창조에 적극적으로 응답하고 참여하는 공동체적 노력을 요구한다고 제시한다.
Abstract
This paper aims to critically discuss a social reality called 'Liquid Society' coined by Zigmunt Bauman, in which no end but only a beginning is experienced. To conduct this critical discussion, this paper focuses on a human body that signals trauma. A rapidly changing society called 'Liquid Society' is a social space where everyone is caught up with social amnesia, easily forgets past experiences, and removes them from their memory. A pastoral paradigm shift is needed to respond appropriately to this social reality. The shift should be from the 'what' paradigm to the 'where' paradigm. In the 'what' paradigm, external objects and socially demanded aims are given attention. The shift is to the 'where' paradigm that focuses on a social or spatial location where the physical body resides. This paradigm shift can be a pastoral response to an individualized competition-oriented society. This paper draws upon Peter Levine's somatic experience and conducts a pastoral theological discussion about grounding, titration, pendulation, and resourcing. Finally, this paper gives a pastoral suggestion to establish an ecologically and socially responsible community that responds positively to God's creation by listening to the bodily voice and participating in the ecological world.
