본 논문은 트라우마 생존자와 그가 속한 공동체에게 도움을 주는데 궁극적 목적을 두고 있는 목회 신학적 접근이다. 이 목적을 성취하기 위해서 재난과 트라우마가 지속적으로 경험되는 한국적 상황을 분석한다. 재난과 트라우마 경험이 지속되는데도 불구하고 이 경험들이 최근에 시작된 듯 생각하는 이유를 살펴본다. 그래서 재난과 트라우마를 반복적으로 경험할 수밖에 없는 사회적 현실을 설명하고 이에 대처하기 위한 목회 신학적 접근을 모색한다. 재난과 트라우마를 재 경험하게 되는 이유를 개인의 책임이나 특정 단체나 기관의 책임으로만 돌릴 수 없다. 오히려 재난과 트라우마의 반복적 경험은 공리주의적 자본주의와 도덕적 해이가 만연한 사회적 현실 때문이라고 주장한다. 이러한 사회적 현실에서는 인간다운 삶의 근거를 소유의 원리, 무력감의 극복, 성취감의 절대성에 두게 했다. 그러므로 이 세 가지가 트라우마 생존자와 유가족들이 인간다운 삶으로 회복한다는 기준이다. 일반적인 심리의학적 진단범주는 이 기준에 근거하고 있다. 본 논문은 심리의학적 진단범주가 간과하는 트라우마 생존자를 돌보기 위해서 힘의 논리가 아니라 사랑의 논리에 근거하고, 자립성이 아니라 의존성의 원리에 근거한 목회신학을 설명한다. 재난과 트라우마 생존자들은 소외된 자들이다. 그들을 사회에 적응시키기 위해 힘 북돋아주기나 자립심 길러주기와 같은 접근은 성급하거나 부적절할 수 있다. 수동적이고 극도로 민감한 재난과 트라우마 생존자들을 위한 목회상담은 사랑의 논리와 의존성의 원리에 근거한 접근이어야 한다. 본 논문의 결론에서 사랑의 논리와 의존성의 원리를 펼치는 목회신학에 기초한 목회상담을 제시한다. 그 목회상담은 해찰의 돌봄과 상호돌봄적 목회상담이다. 해찰의 돌봄은 범주화된 방향으로 내담자를 이끌고 가기보다는 주변을 살펴보고, 내담자와 머물면서 소외되고 간과된 부분들을 집중하는 접근방법이다. 상호돌봄적 목회상담은 상담사가 내담자에게 돌봄을 주기만 하는 접근이 아니라, 내담자로부터 상담사가 돌봄을 받으므로 상호돌봄이 일어나는 접근방법이다.
Abstract
This article is a pastoral theological approach that aims to aid trauma survivors and their community. In order to fulfill this aim, the writer investigates the social context in which disaster and traumatic experiences repeatedly occur. The writer examines a pastoral theological approach that appropriately responds to this social context. It is suggested that repetition of disaster and re-experience of trauma are inevitable results of utilitarian capitalism and moral hazard. It is further suggested that this social context stresses the principle of possession, subjugation of powerlessness, and achievement as a manifestation of sound human life. These three statuses are to be achieved by trauma survivors in this social context. On the contrary, this article proposes a pastoral counseling approach for trauma survivors who are neglected by the psycho-medical categorization that represents this current social context. This pastoral counseling approach builds upon the principle of love against the principle of power and the principle of dependency against the principle of self-reliance. Finally, this article proposes care of hae-chal and interdependent pastoral counseling as a new pastoral counseling for trauma survivors and their community.
