충칭시 도농종합개혁을 통한 도시화 추진 특징 및 한계 - 호구제도 개혁을 중심으로
Features & Limitations of Urbanization through Balancing Urban and Rural Development of Chongqing City – Focusing on the Reformation of Hukou System -

With the start of Hu Jintao regime, China has been promoting balanced national development under the banner of ‘Construction of Harmonious Society’. For the foregoing, China is also pushing ahead with urbanization in rural area on positive lines. However, urbanization gap between Eastern and Western part of China has continuously been widen. This study selected Chongqing as a representative city of Western region of China and looked into the conditions of urbanization within the region. Then, this study also presented an analysis on the background to designate a testing area for Urban and Rural Development Project which is being promoted resolutely and details of reformation of Hukou system as the core of the project. For all this, reformation of Hukou system of Chongqing City has not been so long since it was officially operated, for that reason, various limitations are also included in it. Thus, this study also inquired what improvement issues the reformation of Chongqing city‘s Hukou system is currently faced with.
