Based on the results of the survey, economy and trade displine displayed the highest preference in subjects, followed by politics and diplomacy, society and culture, history and philosophy, and literature. In the research of satisfaction in the educational process, the students generally displayed similar responses in the three categories of curriculum, textbook, and lecture. Approximately 45% displayed satisfaction, with approximately 14% displaying dissatisfaction, and approximately 40% displaying average in satisfaction. Generally, the evaluation of the students displayed to be significantly amicable related to the apprehension felt by the professors in their current positions. Furthermore, the students displayed slight preference of practical education with a ratio of 4:6 concerning theoretical education and practical education. In order to establish the identity of Chinese studies in the educational field, the following evaluations of the students must be considered, and the creative and practical efforts of the professors are required. Concerned problems include the development of subjects and textbooks that suit the natural properties of area studies as a inter-discplinary course, the problem of appropriately mixing practice-oriented education and theory-oriented education, and the problem of contracts with the number of professor that cannot accommodate all diverse academic disciplines. To resolve these problems, the practical effort of individual universities and individual professors is set as the priority, however, the gathering of collective wisdom would be a more constructive resolution. To achieve this, this study has proposed the need of official meetings between educators related to Chinese studies of Korean universities.
