キリシタン版『ぎやどぺかどる』の仮名の用字法 ー 筆写本『ぎやどぺかどる 下巻』との比較 ー

Abstract

In this paper, The characteristics of Kana's usage were discussed, focusing on examples of the same letter sequence that spans the two passages of the Christian version of “Guia do Pecador” and the manuscript “Guia do Pecador (lower volume)”. This is summarized as follows. The letters and the font in the Christian version of “Guia do Pecador” and the manuscript “Guia do Pecador (lower volume)” are 80 letters, 105 fonts and 88 letters, 105 fonts, respectively. These documents tended to be close to “Dothirina Kirishitan” (Kasanatense book), which uses the most letters and fonts among other Christian editions. The fonts used in both documents tended to be close to the group of kana zoushi(average 108.8) that used the most fonts in the survey by Keisuke Hamada (1979). Looking at the fonts used in the Christian version of “Guia do Pecador” and the manuscript “Guia do Pecador (lower volume) ” both documents used over 80% of illegible fonts. In the case of an illegitimate variant, an idiom variant, the both documents are 《能》《可》《加》《志》《之》《那》《奈b》《止a》《止b》《毛a》《多b》《乃b》, all the trends were the same as in the Previous research(“shisen kanamozidukai”, “sarubatorumunzi”, “Kirisitan no kokoroesyo”, “sag oromo no tyuzyo”). From the above, it can be said that the Christian version of “Guia do Pecador” tended to be almost the same as the Kana's usage used in the manuscript “Guia do Pecador (lower volume)”. Also, the usage of Kana in both documents was similar to the use of kana by early Japanese poetry form, other Christian editions and manuscripts, and kana literature at that time.
