국어과 수업에서 예비교사의 동료 평가 수행 양상 분석 연구

학교 현장에서 요구하는 교사의 전문성 중 가장 중요한 것은 수업 전문성이라 할 수 있다. 수업 전문성을 갖춘 교사는 교과 내용에 대한깊은 지식을 갖추고, 이를 수업 현장에서 학생의 수준과 수업 상황에 맞게 교수학습 방법을 구현할 수 있어야 한다. 사범대학 국어교육과의 교육과정에 개설된 ‘국어과 교과교재 연구 및 지도법’은 이와 같은 수업 전문성을 신장시키기 위한 교과이다. 본 연구에서는 ‘국어과 교과교재 연구 및지도법’을 수강하는 학생들이 실제 모의 수업을 시행해보는 동시에 동료학생들의 수업을 상호 평가해보는 활동을 수행하게 하였다. 연구자는 학생들의 활동 양상을 분석하고, 그 양상을 가장 잘 대표할 수 있는 참여자3명을 선정하여 이들의 수행 양상을 구체적으로 고찰하였다. 동료 평가는자기 반성을 통해 수업의 문제를 해결해나갈 수 있는 능력을 키워주는,예비 교사에게 꼭 필요한 능력임을 확인할 수 있었다. 동료 평가를 능숙하게 수행해 나가는 참여자의 수행 과정을 통해, 동료 평가를 성공적으로수행할 수 있는 요인과 갈등 요인을 분석할 수 있었다. 이러한 연구는 예비 교사의 수업 전문성을 향상시키기 위한 교과 과정, 교수 학습 방법 의체계화에 많은 시사점을 제공해줄 것이다.
Abstract
What is the most important of teachers’ expertise required at school may be teaching professionalism. Teachers equipped with appropriate teaching professionalism should have deep knowledge of the contents of school subjects and be able to apply teaching and learning methods to education venues according to the level of students and the conditions of teaching. The subject ‘How to research and guide teaching materials for the Korean language subject’ inserted in the curriculum for the department of Korean language education at college of education is for the purpose of expanding pre-service teachers’ teaching professionalism. In this research, students signed for the subject in question are encouraged to practically carry out trial teachings and conduct peer reviews of their fellow students’ teaching. And an analysis is made of the three participants in peer reviews by using qualitative research methodologies in order to understand individual aspects and conflict factors of the evaluations. As a result, it is ascertained that a peer review is an ability really necessary for pre-service teachers since it is to improve the capability of the teachers to solve teaching problems by way of self-reflection. In this research, elements for a successful peer review can be found in the process that participants skillfully carry out the evaluation. In addition, conflict factors which interfere with a peer review can be deeply analyzed. Such an analysis of conflict factors may present many suggestions for the systematization of subjects, curriculums, teaching and learning methods so that pre-service teachers may enhance their teaching professionalism.
