Like many other languages, Vietnamese has some pronouns which have forms similar to interrogative pronouns but which are used as indefinite pronouns. The similarities in forms between interrogative pronouns and indefinit pronouns often lead to unclearness in identifying and using these pronouns. This paper, through a description of the syntactic, semantic and pragmatic chracteristics of indefinit pronouns, has highlighted the differences between indefinite and interrogative pronouns in Vietnamese.
Abstract
