This paper is mainly concerned with the types of the null pronoun pro in Korean. It is well known that Korean belongs to the pro-drop languages or the null subject languages, in which the null pronoun occurs frequently in various positions of the sentences. In order to look into the types of pro, first, it is observed what the properties of pro are and where pro appears in the sentences. Based upon the data we find, this paper classifies the pro occurring in the sentences into referential pro and bound variable pro according to Heim & Kratzer (1998).
