이 논문은 중등학교 학생들의 작문 말뭉치를 대상으로 하여 어휘 활용 능력을 확인하고, 여기에서 확인되는 중등학교 학생들의 어휘 활용 특성이 글쓰기 능력 측정의 변항으로 사용될 개연성을 추정하는 데 목적을 두었다. 이에 따라 본 연구에서는 J 지역의 5~12학년 학생들의 수필식 글쓰기 자료를 수합하여 단어 부류별로 그 특성을 귀납하였다. 본 연구를 통하여 중등학교 학생의 어휘 활용 능력 측정 변항으로 추출한 특성은 다음과 같다. ① 고빈도 어휘는 고학년으로 갈수록 대용량 말뭉치의 순서로 수렴하는가② 국어 고빈도 명사가 최고 빈도로 나타나지 못하는 경향은 비격식적 주제와 관련되는가③ 동사의 출현 유형 수는 증가하는가④ ‘그리고’ 계열의 나열 접속부사는 고빈도로 유지되는가⑤ 고빈도 일반명사의 누적 빈도는 감소하는가⑥ 대상 중심의 연계 관계를 나타내는 ‘이, 그’ 계열 관형사의 사용 빈도는 증가하는가⑦ 형용사의 1,000형태소당 출현 유형 수는 줄어드는가⑧ ‘정말’류 부사는 줄어들고, ‘가장’류 부사는 일정한가⑨ 주관적 평가 형용사의 상대 빈도는 감소하는가⑩ 논리적 인과관계를 나타내는 접속부사의 사용량은 증가하는가
Abstract
The aim of this article is to suggest some parameters for assessing lexical competence in essay writing of Korean L1 learners. For this purpose I made a learner corpus of Korean adolescent bound in ‘J province,’ and to survey some distributions of lexico-grammatical properties. In doing so, I search for some parameters that is supposed to be useful for assessing linguistic competence, which is how huge the learner's lexicon is, how about the selection competence of the learner's is, and how compact the resulted writings are. As a result, I suggest some experimental lexical parameters as follows: ㆍ Whether lexemes of the highest frequency in specific learner corpus are the same with those of general Korean or not. ㆍ Whether nouns of the highest frequency are influenced with informal theme or not. ㆍ Whether the number of verb type is inclined to increase or not ㆍ Whether Geurigo series conjunctions are affected from age or not. ㆍ Whether the accumulation of high frequency nouns are decreased according to age or not ㆍ Whether the denoting connection mark I and Geu series determiners are increasing as get older or not ㆍ Whether the number of type per 1,000 words decrease or not ㆍ Whether Jeongmal adverb shrinks in appearance as get older or not ㆍ Whether the relative frequency of subjective evaluation adjectives are decreased or not ㆍ Whether the absolutive frequency of logical connective adverbs is increased or not
