본 연구는 전자매체를 활용한 문해활동이 유아의 문해능력에 미치는 영향을 알아본 것이다. 실험집단(28명)과 통제집단(30명)의 만 5세 유아를 대상으로, 사전·사후 검사 실험설계 방법에 의해 총 8주간 처치가 이루어졌다. 문해능력 검사 도구로는 Sulzby(1985)의 ‘유아의 읽기 시도 단계’, Sulzby와 Barnhart, Hieshima(1989)의 ‘쓰기 능력 발달단계’, Morrow(1984)와 Rand(1991)의 ‘이야기이해력 검사 도구’를 사용하였다. 연구 결과, 전자매체를 활용한 문해활동은 유아의 읽기능력, 쓰기능력, 이야기이해력을 향상시켰다. 이에 전자매체를 활용한 문해활동은 유아의 문해발달을 증진시키는 대안이라고 할 수 있다.
Abstract
This study investigates the effects of literacy activity utilizing electronic media on young children’s literacy ability. The results of study are summarized as follows: The children of experimental group were more effectively improved on the reading ability, the writing ability and the story comprehension ability than those of control group. The literacy activity utilizing electronic media positively influenced the advance of young children’s literacy ability. This study result proved that literacy activity utilizing electronic media positively influenced the advance of young children’s literacy ability. Therefore literacy activity utilizing electronic media apply to teaching method of literacy.
