초록

본 연구는 커뮤니티웰빙 구성요소가 어떠한 경로를 통해 주관적 삶의 질에 영향을 미치는지를 논의하고자 하였다. 즉, 지역사회의 주민복지증진을 위해 지역사회가 갖추어야 할 요소로 커뮤니티웰빙을 상정하고 이들이 지역주민의 삶의 질과 어떻게 관련될 수 있는지를 이론적 검토과정을 통해 가설을 설정하고 이를 검증해 보고자 하였다. 특히, 3가지 자원 요소와 주관적 삶의 질 간 관계성에 기초해 구조방정식 모형을 적용한 후 분석을 실시하였으며, 몇 가지 경로에서 통계적 유의성을 확인할 수 있었다. 본 논문에서 확인할 수 있었던 몇 가지 중요한 연구결과는 다음과 같다. 우선, 인적자본이 경로관계에서 가장 큰 영향력을 보여주었는데, 이는 경제적 측면이 여전히 강력한 영향인자임을 짐작케 한다. 둘째, 사회자본의 경우 주관적 삶의 질에 부(-)의 관계를 나타내었다. 많은 선행연구와 논의들이 사회자본이 주관적 삶의 질에 긍정적 요소임을 강조하고 확인해 왔다. 사회의 결속력과 네트워크, 참여는 구성원들의 소속감이나 적극성을 고양하고 지역의 문제를 직접적으로 해결할 수 있는 가능성을 제공함으로써 궁극적으로 주관적 삶의 질을 높인다는 것이다. 셋째, 인적자본의 경로를 통해 주관적 삶의 질에 영향을 미치는 간접효과 중에서 가장 효과가 높은 변수는 자연자본이었다. 인간의 생존을 위해서 자연은 필수불가결의 요소임이 강조되고 있으며, 최근 여가시간이 증가됨에 따라 생활환경 개선에 대해 지역주민들이 관심을 증가된 결과로 보인다. 마지막으로, 경제자본의 경로를 통해 주관적 삶의 질에 영향을 미치는 간접효과 중에서 가장 효과가 높은 변수 역시 자연자본이었다. 자연자본은 아름다운 주변경관을 통해 이용객을 늘림으로써 주변상권을 활성화시켜 지방재정의 확충에 기여할 수 있음을 확인하였다.

Abstract

This study seeks to investigate the processes of how the varied components of community wellbeing affect the subjective quality of life of the residents in local community. Founded upon the Kee’s six-domain community well-being model, the study seeks to examine hypotheses on the links between each of the community wellbeing components and quality of life of local community. Specifically, it analyzes the effects of human resources, natural resources, and social resources upon the quality of life of local residents using structure equation modeling, and attempts to find statistically significant paths. The results and implications of this study are as follows. First, human resources have major effects through the diverse paths, which indicates economic resources included in human resources is the leading factor. Secondly, although much research conducted, the effect of social capital may still be a controversial issue, as this study finds negative association between subjective quality of life and social capital. Thirdly, among the indirect effects through human resources, natural resources are found to be the most effective one raising the quality of life of the community. In the same vein, natural resources were prominent also through economic capital, among the varied indirect effects.
