최저임금제도가 노동소득분배율에 미치는 영향 분석 : 우리나라 16개 광역자치단체를 중심으로

초록

본 연구의 목적은 최근 사회적 관심이 높아지고 있는 최저임금제도가 기능적 소득분배에 미치는 영향을 분석하는 데 있다. 이에 본 연구는 2000년~2016년 기간 동안 우리나라 16개 시도의 패널자료를 이용해 최저임금의 사회적 영향력 변동이 노동소득분배율에 미치는 영향을 실증적으로 분석한다. 기본모델 분석 결과, 최저임금의 사회적 영향력 증대는 통계적으로 유의미한 수준에서 노동소득감소에 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 수도권과 비수도권을 구분하여 분석한 확장모델의 분석결과에 따르면, 통계적으로 유의미한 수준에서 비수도권의 최저임금의 사회적 영향력 증대는 노동소득 감소에 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 이상의 분석 결과는 지역에 따라 최저임금을 차등적용하는 지역별 최저임금제도의 필요성을 시사한다.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to analyze the effect of minimum wage, which has recently received attention in social interest, on functional income distribution. For this purpose, this study empirically analyzed the effect of minimum wage on labor income share using panel data with 16 regional local government during 2000~2016. As a result of the basic model, the increase of social influence of minimum wage has a negative effect on labor income share significantly. According to the analysis of the extended model, the increase of social influence of minimum wage in the non-capital areas have a negative effect on labor income share significantly. The result from this study suggests that the need for multiple minimum wage rates set according to regions.
