본 연구는 비행청소년의 재범 후 일상생활을 심층적으로 이해하는 데 목적을 두고 있다. 이를 위하여 본 연구에서는 Strauss & Corbin(1990)이 제시한 근거이론연구방법을 활용하였고, 재범 청소년 29명을 대상으로 연구를 수행하였다. 그 결과, 857개의 진술문에서 1,421개의 개념과 59개의 하위범주, 14개의 범주가 확인되었고, ‘노력형’, ‘의존형’, ‘방관형’, ‘포기형’이 도출되었다. 본 연구는 선행연구가 거의 없고, 접근이 어려운 연구참여자를 선정함으로써 기존 연구의 공백을 메우고 있을 뿐만 아니라, 비행청소년 분야의 접근에 새로운 시사점을 제공하고 있다.
Abstract
The purpose of this study is to present fundamental understanding on the juvenile delinquent's daily life after a second offense. This study utilized the grounded theory method based on Strauss and Corbin (1990). This research exercise was conducted through in-depth interviews of 29 juvenile delinquents. The results of the data analysis produced 1,421 concepts, 59 subcategories, and 14 categories from 857 statements. The analysis of the constant present relationships between categories, centered on the core category, were found to be limited to four types : ‘Endeavoring’, ‘Dependent’, ‘Unconcerned’, and ‘Abandoned’. Based on the above results, it is hoped that this study will make a theoretical contribution to the field as well as filling existing gaps in our existing knowledge of subjects which are, by their very nature, difficult to gain access to. For the application of welfare system, the necessity of deep understanding of it deserves special emphasis and more detailed advice and further studies are recommended.
