청소년의 여가활동에서 비행이 발생하는 원인에 대한 근거 이론적 접근

다양한 변화를 경험하는 청소년기에 어느 시기보다 여가활동이 필요하나 학업에 대한 부담 때문에 능동적, 발전적 여가를 즐기기 힘든 우리나라 청소년이 처한 현실에서 잘못된 여가관 형성으로 여가활동이 비행과 연계되는 부작용이 있음을 감안하여 청소년의 건전한 여가활동과 비행 예방을 위한 지도 방향을 제시하는 것이 필요하다. 이에 본 연구는 선행연구에 근거하여 비행수준에 영향을 미치는 여가활동 유형인 스포츠, 사교, 놀이․오락 활동에 참여하는 과정에서 비행경험이 있는 학생들과 그들을 관찰한 학생을 연구 대상자로 선정하여 심층 면담한 결과를 질적 연구방법의 하나인 근거이론으로 분석하여 여가활동 중에 비행이 발생하는 원인을 찾는 것을 목적으로 하였다. 연구 결과, 여가활동 과정에서 성인 감독자가 결여된 환경, 흥미를 유발하지 못하는 수업 환경이 조성되었을 때, 비행을 저지르는 또래와 접촉하거나, 학업에 대해 무관심할 때, 여가활동에서의 금전적 보상 등이 개입되었을 때 여가활동 과정에서 청소년 비행이 발생할 수 있는 것으로 나타났다.
Abstract
In Korea, adolescents are facing difficulty in enjoying their leisure time in an active and desirable way due to the burden of studies. In this situation, they often get to form an undesirable view to leisure, which leads to side effects associated with delinquency. Recently, delinquency in adolescents is increasing in their leisure time, and it implies that it is needed to come up with solutions for them to establish leisure righteously. Therefore, based on advanced research, this author selected students who had experienced delinquency in the process of participating in sports, social activities, or play or entertaining activities, the types of leisure activities influencing the level of their delinquency, and students who had experience of observing them. The results of an in-depth interview conducted to them went through analysis by grounded theory, one of the qualitative research methods, so as to figure out the causes of delinquency among the leisure activities. According to the findings, in the process of performing leisure activities, when adolescents face environment lacking adult supervision or class environment not very interesting, or when they get to contact peers committing delinquency or have no interest in studies, or when any monetary rewards or such are intervening with the leisure activities, they often lead to adolescent delinquency.
