대만 한국어 초급 학습자의 어휘 지식과 듣기 이해의 상관관계 연구

초록

본 연구는 대만 한국어 초급 학습자의 어휘 지식과 듣기 이해 간의 상관관계를 밝히는 데 목적이 있다. 이를 통해서 듣기 교육의 방향과 어휘 지도에 대한 기초 자료를 제공할 수 있을 것으로 판단된다. 이를 위해 양적 어휘 지식과 질적 어휘 지식 그리고 듣기 이해를 측정하기 위한 평가지를 작성하여, 대만 K 대학교 2학년 초급 한국어 학습자 69명을 대상으로 실험하였다. 그 결과, 양적 어휘 지식과 질적 어휘 지식이 각각 학습자의 듣기 이해와 유의미한 상관관계를 가지고 있는 것으로 나타났으며, 어휘 지식(양적 어휘 지식, 질적 어휘 지식 포함)이 듣기 이해의 약 62%를 설명할 수 있었다. 양적 어휘 지식과 질적 어휘 지식이 모두 대만 한국어 학습자들의 듣기 이해에 영향을 준다는 점을 감안하면 한국어 듣기 교육 시 학습자의 어휘 지식을 더욱 넓히고, 또한 어휘 지식을 심도 있게 학습할 수 있도록 균형적인 지도가 이루어져야 함을 시사한다.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to investigate whether the comprehensiveness of vocabulary knowledge(breadth and depth of the vocabulary knowledge) of Taiwanese Korean Language Beginner Learners affects their Listening Comprehension. Through this, it is believed that basic data on the direction of listening education and vocabulary guidance can be provided. The results are as follows. Pearson product-moment correlations were obtained to uncover the independent correlation between the extensiveness of vocabulary knowledge and Listening Comprehension. The vocabulary knowledge had a high correlation with listening comprehension and it can account for 62% of listening comprehension. Considering that both breadth and depth of the vocabulary knowledge affect Taiwanese Korean learners' listening comprehension, it suggests that balanced guidance should be provided to expand learners' vocabulary knowledge and learn vocabulary knowledge in depth during Korean listening education.
