이 논문은 표상의 감각론과 비 표상의 감각론의 문제점을 각각 검토하고, 화이트헤드 의 상징적 연관이라는 개념을 그 대안으로 제시했다. 이것은 결정적으로 미학과 정치의 문제로 연결된다. 표상주의 미학과 비-표상주의 미학이 각각 어떻게 정치와 관계를 맺는지를 검토하며, 그것들의 관계가 화이트헤드의 개념인 ‘향유’와 ‘관심’을 통해 어떻 게 이해될 수 있는지를 연구했다. 그리고 이 논문에서는 근대와 마찬가지로 현대에서도 몸을 통한 미적인 자기 향유를 인정하면서 최종적으로는 타자와의 관계가 중요한 정치 및 윤리의 관심으로 편향되는 경향이 있음을 리요타르와 레비나스의 철학을 통해 살펴본다. 그들은 칸트의 숭고의 미학을 중심으로 미를 탐구하면서, 결국은 미를 정치 및 윤리의 핵심적인 개념인 타자에 대한 중요성으로 전환한다. 이것은 개체의 자율성을 상징하는 미적 행위가 결국 정치 및 윤리의 가치로 전락하는 방식이 된다. 이것은 이미 마르크스가 근대에서 비판한 지점이기도 하다. 우리는 이와 같은 철학적 사유의 특징을 살펴보고, 그것을 화이트헤드의 과정철학을 통해서 비판적으로 검토해볼 것이다. 따라서 이 연구는 화이트헤드의 과정 철학이 미학과 정치에 대한 이분법의 사유를 극복하는데 하나의 대안이 될 수 있음을 알아본 것이다.
Abstract
This paper examined the problems of sensory theory of representation and sensory theory of non-representation, respectively, and examined them through the concept of symbolic reference of Whitehead. In Whitehead's philosophy, the problems of aesthetics and politics develop into the concepts of 'enjoyment' and 'concern', respectively. This is the basis for important ontology and epistemology, respectively, and provides an important clue to future aesthetics and political behavior. In today's philosophy, which generally values 'others', self-enjoyment is recognized, but ultimately, it is leaning toward concern in others. Non-Representative philosophers like Ryotard and Lévinas also show a tendency to value concern of others. We will look at the characteristics of their philosophical thinking and critically examine it through Whitehead's process philosophy. Through this, we will critically look at the dichotomy of thinking of aesthetics and politics across modern and post-modern times and present the philosophy of Whitehead's process as an alternative.
