본 연구는 장애인의 노동시장 참여의 종단적 패턴을 도출하고 그와 같은 참여 패턴을결정하는 요인을 분석하는 것에 주된 목적이 있다. 장애인이 경험하는 신체적, 정신적 도전 상황과 장애인의 내적 다양성은 노동시장의 참여의 불안정성에 핵심을 둔 접근의 필요성을 제기하며, 이는 시간을 축으로 장애인의 특성에 따른 노동시장 참여의 종단적 패턴에 대한 분석을 통해 실증적으로 드러날 수 있다. 본 연구에서는 월 단위로 계측된 노동시장 참여 경험의 연쇄를 분석 대상으로 하여 장애인들의 다양한 노동시장참여 패턴을도출하고 이와 같은 참여 패턴의 차이에 영향을 미치는 요인을 검토하고자 하였다. 본 연구에서는 이상의 연구 목적을 위해 시퀀스 분석(sequence analysis)을 활용했다. 분석은 크게 세 단계를 거쳤다. 우선 월 단위로 계측된 노동시장 참여 패턴에 대해시퀀스 분석의 최적화 매칭(optimal matching) 알고리듬을 적용하여 참여 패턴의 유형화를 시도하였다. 두 번째로는 참여 유형과 장애 유형간의 대응분석(correspondent analysis)을 실시하여, 장애 유형에 따라 노동시장 참여의 양상이 어떻게 달라지는지 탐색적으로 살펴보았다. 끝으로 다항로지스틱 회귀모델을 활용하여 장애인의 노동시장 참여 패턴을 결정하는 요인을 검토하였다. 아울러 논문의 말미에서는 이상의 분석 결과를요약하고 몇 가지 정책적 함의를 도출하였다.
Abstract
The main purposes of this study is to find longitudinal patterns of work participation of disabled persons and the factors determining those patterns. Disables persons are challenged by various personal and social barriers in participating the labour market. Therefore, finding vulnerability in job participation patterns could be one of the most important research themes. Although a number of researches related to this issue have conducted and accumulated theoretical and empirical evidences, there have been few studies that consider that kind of vulnerability in time. So, this study conducts a sequence analysis trying to overcome these limitations. Especially, optimal matching algorithm and multi-nominal logistic regression analysis are used for the sequence analysis. The patterns of job participation of disabled persons and the factors affecting them are found from the analysis conducted in this study.
