이 논문은 도르트레히트정경의 예정론이 성경의 언약적 내러티브에 비추어서 진술된 타락후예정설적인 입장을 반영하고 있다는 사실을 증명하는데 그 목적이 있다. 이를 위하여 서론에서 존 칼빈에서부터 도르트레히트정경의 예정론 진술이 있기 전까지 언약신학에 근거한 칼빈의 견해의 발전에 대하여 개략적인 소개를 하였다. 배경 연구에서는 테오도레 베자의 타락전선택설적인 입장에 대한 항론파의 비판이 어떻게 제기되었는지를 밝혔다. 본론에서, 이런 배경에서 도르트레히트정경은 아르미니우스주의자들이 타락후예정설적인 입장에서 항론을 제기하였다는 사실을 전제하고, 그 전제를 취하여 타락후예정설에 입각한 접근을 하더라도, 아르미니우스주의에 빠지지 않는다는 점을 효과적으로 드러냈음이 진술된 정경의 내용을 통하여 확인된다는 사실을 다섯 가지 항목으로 증명하였다. 결론을 내리기에 앞서서 도르트레히트정경이 반영하고 있는 예정론의 목회적 함의에 대하여 간략하게 밝히며, 타락후예정설은 결코 전도의 열정을 감소시키지 않는다는 사실을 드러냈다.
Abstract
This article aimed to prove the fact that the infralapsarian position viewed from the biblical covenant narrative played an important role in understanding of the doctrine of predestination of de Canones van Dordrecht. For this, in the introduction of this article the present writer presented the historical development of Calvin’s thought on the Divine Decree based on covenant theology. In his final version of Institutes of the Christian Religion Calvin finally placed the doctrine of providence in the realm of divine decree, but the doctrine of predestination in the realm of soteriology. The Remonstrant including Jacobus Arminius strongly criticized the supralapsarian position based on Theodore Beza’s theology, and expressed a kind of inclination to the infralapsarian position. In this circumstances De Canones van Dordrecht shared the same ground with the Remonstrant and then submitted the crucial differences of the understanding of free-will between creation and fall. The present writer made use of five argumentations for proving the crucial differences between them. And lastly the present writer came to the pastoral implication of the infralapsarian position presented in De Canones van Dordrecht, and elucidated the infralapsarian understanding on the doctrine of predestination does not reduce the passion of proclaiming the Gospel.
