이 논문은 폴 리쾨르의 창조론과 창세기 1장 26-27절에 언급되어 있는 “하나님의 형상(이마고 데이)”의 해석학에 대한 연구이다. 리쾨르는 교부들(이레니우스, 터툴리안)과 같이 창조는 악과 구속을 관통하며 창조의 완성을 향해 나아간다는 폭넓은 창조론을 갖는다. 창조는 ‘시작과 지속’을 반복하며 계속된다. 그에 따르면 창세기 1-11장에 있는 태초의 이야기는 사건이라는 측면에서 세상과 인간의 ‘기원’을 나타낸다. 한편, 리쾨르는 하나님의 형상에 대한 해석에서 ‘인간은 개인적이자 집단적’이라는 개념과 하나님의 형상으로 지음 받은 ‘인류의 성장’을 강조한다. 하나님의 형상은 창조 이래 악을 관통하며 인류 속에서 지속적으로 성장해 나간다. 특히 리쾨르는 ‘인간은 개인적이고 집단적’이라는 개념을 통해 연대감과 사회 책임을 강조한다. 인간이 개인적이고 집단적이라면 죄의 차원에서도 ‘개인적이자 집단적’이다. 이런 의미에서 죄는 개인적인 차원보다 보다 심각하고 광범위한 정치, 경제, 문화 속에 있는 ‘집단적인 죄’를 파악하고 비판해야 한다고 주장한다. 뿐만 아니라 실추된 하나님의 형상은 구속의 은총으로 말미암아 갱신되었는데, 이 구속의 은총은 개인적인 영역뿐만 아니라 집단적이고 제도적인 정치, 경제, 문화 영역에까지 그 징표가 나타나야 한다고 강조한다. 이처럼 ‘개인적이자 집단적인 인간’이라는 하나님 형상에 대한 해석은 ‘우리’라는 연대의식과 사회 책임과 사회 개혁이 우리 기독교인의 사명이라는 중요성을 고취시킨다.
Abstract
This article aims to examine the hermeneutic of Paul Ricœur on the Creation and the "image of God(imago dei)" mentioned in Genesis 1: 26-27. Stories in creation shows the origin of the events of the world and man. As the Fathers of the Church (Irenaeus, Tertullian), Ricœur has a broad vision of Creation that continues for her completion through evil and redemption. The Creation persists in the history by repeating 'start and continuation'. According to him, stories in Genesis 1-11 designate as the ‘origin’ of the world and man at the point of view of the event. Meanwhile, in his interpretation, Ricœur emphasizes "individual and collective man" and "the growth of humanity" who is created in the image of God. The image of god continue to grow in mankind since the Creation passing the evil. In particular, Ricœur emphasizes solidarity and social responsibility according to the concept of 'the man is individual and collective. If man is individual and collective, sin is individual and collective. In this regard, He asks us to be aware of the collective sin in the society: politics, economy and culture which is more serious than the personal sin. Besides, the image of God, distorted by evil, eventually restored by the grace or redemption. Ricœur insists sign of redemption in the collective life that is to say in the economy, politics and culture. The concept of "individual and collective man" called social responsibility. Ricœur puts so much emphasis on the solidarity as ‘we’, the responsibility social and the Christian task, for the restoration of the world.
