초록

본 연구는 시편 78:65-72절에 담긴 ‘거절과 선택’이라는 주제 패턴(thematic pattern)을 분석하는 데 있다. 또한 그 주제 패턴의 양면적 기능—한편으로는 강한 경고로서의 기능과 다른 한편으로는 종말론적 소망으로서의 기능—을 편집 차원에서 입증하고자 한다. 본 연구는 이 목적을 달성하기 위해서 시편이 정경으로 최종 완성된 역사적 맥락, 표제어들, 시편 안에 전략적으로 배치되어 있는 제왕시들의 존재를 분석하여 시편의 종말론적 특성들을 확인할 것이다. 그리고 아삽 시편 모음집의 종말론적 특징들을 조사할 것이다. 이 두 단계를 거치면서 아삽 모음집의 일부인 시편 78:65-72절의 ‘하나님의 거절과 선택’ 모티프가 일부 선지서(겔 34-48; 슥 9-14; 욜 3-4)의 ‘경고’와 ‘소망’으로서의 기능이 유사하게 발견된다는 것을 확인할 수 있을 것이다.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the ‘rejection and election’ motif in Psalm 78:65-72 as a thematic pattern. It also strives to demonstrate its editorial function as a double-sided coin, on the one hand as a strong warning and on the other hand as an eschatological hope. To this end, this paper will identify the eschatological characteristics of the Psalter through the analysis of its historical context, its superscriptions, the existence of the royal psalms within it. The paper will examine the eschatological features of the Asaphite Psalms like ascription to Asaph, mazkir, and ingathering motif. These two stages will help one to take a closer look at Psalm 78:65-72, part of the Asaphite Psalms. Then Psalm 78 and its eschatological aspects, especially a ‘rejection and election’ motif, will be analyzed. In this process, one will find out that the divine ‘rejection and election’ motif in Psalm 74:65-72 is found in certain prophetic texts (Ezek34-48; Zech 9-14; Joel 3-4), serving both as a warning and as hope for the Israelites in crisis.
