이근삼은 한상동 목사를 이어 고신의 제2세대 지도자 가운데 한 사람으로 개혁신학과 고산대학교의 발전에 크게 기여하였다. 그가 남긴 개혁주의 유산의 중요성에도 불구하고, 그의 저술들은 아직까지 거의 다루어지지 않았다. 본고는 이근삼의 개혁신학이 교회의 성장과 세상의 변화라는 이중적 모토에 초점을 두고 있음을 증명한다. 개혁신학-교회-세상의 관계에 대한 이근삼의 관점으로부터 우리는 이근삼이 남긴 개혁주의 유산의 몇 가지 기여점을 발견한다. 첫째, 이근삼은 칼빈주의 또는 개혁주의의 의미의 정교한 의미가 성경교리 체계에 있음을 드러내었다. 둘째, 이근삼은 신학과 교회 성장의 관계를 긴밀하게 연관시켰다. 이근삼은 당대에 교회성장에 대한 왜곡된 관점을 지적하고, 교회의 진정한 부흥과 성장은 외적이며 표면적인 것이 아니라 교회의 본질에 입각해야 한다는 점을 강조했다. 마지막으로, 이근삼은 반틸과 카이퍼의 변증학 및 기독교 세계관에서 한걸음 더 나아가 기독교 세계관에서 학문의 위치를 상승시켜 세상의 변화를 위한 인재 양성을 촉구했다. 이근삼은 칼빈주의적 전통 위에서 개혁주의 신학을 교회의 성장과 세상의 변화에 이바지 할 수 있도록 적용 및 발전시켰다고 평가된다.
Abstract
Following Pastor Han Sang-dong, Keun-sam Lee emerged as one of the leaders of the second generation of reformers, contributing significantly to the development of Reformed theology and Kosin University. Despite the importance of the legacy he left behind in Reformed theology, his writings have been largely overlooked to this day. This article demonstrates that Keun-sam Lee's Reformed theology focuses on the dual motto of the church's growth and the transformation of the world. From Keun-sam Lee's perspective on the relationship between Reformed theology, the church, and the world, we discover several contributions he made to the legacy of Reformed thought. First, Keun-sam Lee revealed the intricate meaning of Calvinism or Reformed theology within the framework of the doctrinal system of the Bible. Secondly, he closely linked theology to the growth of the church. Keun-sam Lee criticized distorted perspectives on church growth in his time, and emphasizing that true revival and growth of the church should be based on the essence of the church, not on external or superficial factors. Lastly, Keun-sam Lee not only engaged with the dialectics of Van Til and Kuyper but also went a step further by elevating the position of scholarship in the Christian worldview, urging the cultivation of talent for the transformation of the world. Keun-sam Lee is evaluated as someone who applied and developed Reformed theology on the foundation of Calvinistic tradition to contribute to the growth of the church and the transformation of the world.
