교양 음악수업에서의 융합적 사고와 적용을 위해 하나의 음악적 개념을 다른 영역의 개념으로 사고하여 사고의 전환과 확장을 시도해보려고 한다. 음악에서 가장 기본적인 요소 중 하나인 ‘리듬’에 대해 시간적, 공간적, 색채적 개념을 가지고 활동하고 이해를 시도하는 수업이다. 이는 학생들로 하여금 병행되는 음악 외적인 활동, 즉 신체 움직임, 색채적 개념의 사고와 창작, 시간과 공간, 에너지 등, 추상적 개념과 연결짓는 표현 활동을 통해 소통, 신체표현, 협업 등을 배양하고 더 나아가 음악을 매개로하는 융합적이고 창의적인 사고를 배양하기 위함이다. 이를 위해 제안한 활동의 기준은 첫째, 공간을 인식하는 신체 율동, 둘째, 색채적 조합에 의한 리듬, 세 번째, 시간적 흐름에서의 리듬활동이다. 각각의 활동은 음악을 들으며 추상적 개념을 자신의 경험에 비추어 글로 구체화시키고, 다양한 음색으로 리듬 앙상블을 창작하고, 즉흥적 성격의 유연한 음악을 신체적으로 표현해 보는 것이다. 이와 같은 활동은 음악의 지적 이해를 넘어, 가장 본질적 음악 요소인 감성과 함께 통합적 사고와 소통의 훈련을 경험하는 계기가 될 것이다.
Abstract
In this paper, to try the integrated thinking in music class at Liberal Arts, it is suggested to view musical concept ‘Rhythm’ in different way from traditional standards. This is expected to help students cultivate the integrated and creative thinking, and also improve their ability of physical expression, cooperation, communication in group activities. For this, the criteria of proposed activities are as follow; at first, in rhythm through temporal flow, second, in coloristic combination in rhythmic ensemblem, and finally in eurythmics. Each activity consists of, first, writing down in concrete by personal experience from their abstract understanding, second, creating and playing rhythmic ensemble in various timbral voices, and the third, expressing the flexible music of improvisational nature physically. Although, it is hard to identify how developed such activities help students’ ability concretely, it gives chances to non music- major to experience the musical communication and thinking through the activities as well as sensitivity which is basic substance in music.
