본 연구는 중년기의 자아존중감 및 가족기능이 건강증진행위에 미치는 영향을 확인하기 위하여 시도되었다. 연구대상자는 국내 P시에 거주하는 45세 이상에서 64세 이하의 성인 220명이었다. 자료수집을 위한 설문조사는 2018년 5월 1일부터 5월 31일까지 실시되었다. 자료분석은 IBM SPSS 23 프로그램을 이용하여 기술분석, 퍼어슨 상관관계 분석 및 단계적 다중 회귀분석을 시행하였다. 분석결과 중년기의 자아존중감은 50점 중 평균 35.38점, 가족기능은 100점 중 평균 71.3점, 건강증진행위는 235점 중 평균 159.3점이었다. 주관적 건강상태는 스트레스 정도(r=.509 p<.001), 가족기능(r=.172, p=.011), 자아존중감(r=.183, p=.006) 및 건강증진행위(r=.289 p<.001)와 유의한 상관관계가 있었다. 중년기의 자아존중감은 동거가족수(r=.207, p=.002), 소득(r=.200, p=.003) 및 건강증진행위(r=.419 p<.001)와 유의한 상관관계가 있었다. 가족기능은 동거가족수(r=.204, p=.002), 스트레스 정도(r=.253 p<.001)와 건강증진행위(r=.534 p<.001)와 유의한 상관관계가 있었다. 단계적 회귀분석 결과 건강증진행위에 영향을 미치는 요인은 가족응집성, 자아존중감, 종교, 주관적 건강상태 및 동거가족수 이었으며, 이 중 가족응집성(β =.353, p<.001)이 가장 크게 영향을 미치는 요인이었다. 본 연구결과를 바탕으로 중년기의 성공적인 노화를 위한 준비로서 가족기능을 향상시키고 자아존중감 및 건강증진행위를 증진시킬 수 있는 중재프로그램의 개발과 그 효과를 검정할 필요가 있다.
Abstract
This study was conducted to investigate the effects of self-esteem and family function on health promotion behaviors in middle-aged. The study subjects were 220 middle-aged living in P city of South Korea. The questionnaire used for data collection was administered between May 1 and 31 of 2018. IBM SPSS/WIN 23.0 program was used to perform descriptive, correlation, and stepwise regression analyses. As a result, self-esteem in middle-aged was 35.38 out of 50 points, family function was 71.3 out of 100 points and health promotion behavior was 159.3 out of 235 points. Subjective health status was significantly correlated with degree of stress(r=.509 p<.001), family functioning(r=.172, p=.011), self-esteem(r=.183, p=.006) and health promotion behavior(r=.289 p<.001). Self-esteem in middle-aged was significantly correlated with family members(r=.207, p=.002), income(r=.200, p=.003) and health promotion behavior(r=.419 p<.001). Family function was significantly correlated with family members(r=.204, p=.002), degree of stress(r=.253 p<.001) and health promotion behavior(r=.534 p<.001). In the stepwise regression analysis, factors affecting health promoting behaviors were family cohesion, self-esteem, religion, subjective health status, and family members. And family cohesion(β = .353, p <.001) was the most significant factor. Based on the results of this study, it is necessary to develop an intervention program to improve family function, reduce stress, and promote self-esteem and health promotion behavior as a preparation for successful aging in middle-aged.
