Abstract
This research examines a brief overview of research trends for the platform strategy in a two-sided market and arrange a platform concept and types, research achievements. Recently the platform, computer terminology, is applied to businesses to pursue the cost saving, revenue growth, industry initiative as the strategical tools. This means that a two-sided market has been yielded by the development and diffusion of information technology. Many markets where network externalities are important two-sided markets which have the property, two distinct types of user and in which the structure of prices between the two sides matters. The researches of the platform strategy in two-sided markets classify into two trends based on the analysis of characterizing the elements. Those are the pre-research which consist of (1)network effects, (2)transactional cost, (3)internet economic, (4)modular network and the current research, (1)theory research, (2)empirical research. These studies analysis the status quo which a single company or product/service’integration is a separated organization or function of the elements you've been, and is converging again, then is restructuring a new market, or industry organization or product being. This phenomenon, separation-convergence-restructuring, is happening in the individual product/service level and re-product/service companies that provide the individual features, and in the market or industry. By default, the behavior of the participants is a theory model as being dependent on the distribution of the property of the participants are granted with the participants in the collective interest in full action. Participants of the trading act is an act of the other participants that belong to the same group platform to present the criteria you use to determine their behaviour on the basis of. Therefore, collective action is not only as a participant in the decision-making about the future of the individual participants of the study, there is a need to focus on.
