Abstract
Purpose: The purpose of this study is to evaluate the stability of the screw by comparing the implant abutment screw with a new design with a morse tapered structure in the head with the existing implant abutment screw with a butt joint structure. Materials and Methods: After the implant was fastened with a support screw with a morse tapered design and a abutment screw with a butt joint design, the experimental group without a load was set to Group1 and Group2, respectively, and the experimental group to which a load was applied was set to Group3 and Group4, respectively. Each experimental group fastened a support screw at 35 Ncm, and Group 1 and Group 2 measured the screw loosening force 1 hour after the screw was fastened. Group 3 and Group 4 manufactured and attached prosthetics, and then applied a load of 50 Ncm 100,000 times to measure the screw removal torque. Results: Group 1 showed an average removal torque about 6.9 Ncm higher than Group 2, and Group 3 showed an average removal torque about 4.6 Ncm higher than Group 4. Group 1 showed an average removal torque about 2.4 Ncm higher than Group 3, and Group 2 showed an average removal torque about 0.1 Ncm higher than Group 4. Conclusion: When the implant was fastened using a abutment screw with a mos tapered structure, it showed higher stability than when using a abutment screw with a butt joint structure.
