연구는 예비 유아교사들이 유아 대상 공연을 기획·준비·실행하는 과정에서 어떠한 배움과 성장을 경험하는지를탐색하고, 공연 활동이 비교과 프로그램으로서 가지는 교육적 의미를 밝히는 데 목적이 있다. 연구 참여자는 A대학유아교육과 재학생 13명으로 학년, 역할, 공연 유형의 다양성을 고려해 목적 표집하였다. 자료 수집은 집단 심층면담과보고서, 소감문, 연습 영상 등을 활용하였으며, Braun과 Clarke(2006)의 주제분석 절차에 따라 분석하였다. 연구 결과, 첫째 예비교사들은 성취감, 자신감 향상, 성격적 전환, 교사 정체성 강화 등 개인적 변화와 학년 간 교류 확대, 정서적지지, 공동체 소속감 형성과 같은 관계적 성장을 경험하였다. 셋째, 팀 약속 준수, 디지털 매체를 통한 피드백, 팀장의솔선수범 등 성공적 협력 전략이 확인되었다. 이는 공연 활동이 예비 유아교사의 자기효능감, 대인관계, 협력 역량을심화하는 효과적 비교과 프로그램임을 시사한다.
Abstract
The purpose of this study was to explore the learning and growth experiences of pre-service early childhood teachers during the planning, preparation, and implementation of performances for young children, and to examine the educational value of such activities as extracurricular programs. Participants were 13 students from the Department of Early Childhood Education at University A, selected through purposive sampling to ensure diversity in grade level, role, and type of performance. Data were collected through group interviews, reports, reflective notes, and practice videos, and analyzed using Braun and Clarke’s (2006) thematic analysis. The findings revealed three major themes. First, personal growth was observed in enhanced self-efficacy, confidence, personality development, and strengthened teacher identity were identified. Second, relational growth emerged through expanded interaction among cohorts, emotional support, and a reinforced sense of community. Third, strategies for successful collaboration included adherence to team norms, use of digital media for feedback, support from experts and seniors, and leadership by team leaders. These results suggest that performance-based extracurricular programs not only foster pre-service teachers’ self-efficacy, interpersonal relationships, and collaboration skills but also serve as effective contexts for professional development.
