본 연구는 경부축이나 수도권 내에서 화물을 운송하는 제조업체를 대상으로 화주들의 특성에 따라 도로 운송수단 선택요인이 어떻게 다른지를 분석하는 데 주된 목적이 있다. 이를 위해 도로 운송수단의 네 가지 선택요인, 즉 운송시간, 운송비용, 안전성, 기타 서비스 요인을 화주들의 선택대안으로 하고, 화주의 특성들을 변수로 하는 다항로짓모형을 설정하였다. 2011년의 전국 화물 기종점통행량 조사 자료로부터 제조업종과 운송거리에 따라 8개의 표본을 추출한 다음, 각 표본을 이용해 8개의 다항로짓모형을 추정한 결과 화주의 특성(업종, 운송거리, 운송수단의 소유형태 등)에 따라 중시되는 선택요인이 다르며, 운송비용 이외의 다른 선택요인이 더 중시되는 것으로 나타났다.
Abstract
This paper investigates the differences in freight mode choice factors due to the characteristics of manufacturing shippers which use trucks in the Seoul-Busan or the Capital region. The paper specifies a multinomial logit model of which the choice alternatives of shippers are speed, cost, safety and other service factors, and of which the independent variables are their characteristics. Eight models are estimated using eight subsamples into which a part of the 2011 Korea Commodity Flow Survey data is classified by trasnport distance and industry. Results indicate that an important choice factor is differentiated by a shipper's characteristic(industry, transport distance, truck ownership and others), and that choice factors other than cost are more important overall.
