일본어 가능표현 형식의 추이에 대하여 -메이지 이후의 문학작품을 중심로-

本稿では、明治·大正·昭和·平成の文学作品について、可能表現形式の動向を計量的に調査することを目的とする。具体的な研究方法としては、明治以降の文学作品24種を選んで、これらの文学作品の中に現れる可能表現形式を、「全体」「会話文」「非会話文」別に集計した。「全体」「会話文」「非会話文」をさらに動詞の活用型別に分け、各可能表現形式の動向を調査した。時代別·各形式の状況については、田中章夫の期待値偏差(時代別、各形式の偏りを、期待値からの偏りの比率としてとらえるという考え方)で分析した。その結果、時代とともに「可能動詞」の出現率が高くなり、「レル･ラレル」「コトガデキル」の出現率は下がっていた。また「五段動詞」における「可能動詞」の増加、「一段·カ変動詞」における「ラ抜き言葉」の出現、「サ変動詞」における「可能のデキル」の増加が確認できた。これは、可能専用の動詞の拡大と見受けられる。
Abstract
The purpose of this study is to investigate the progress of “potential verb”, “reru·rareru” and “kotogadekiru” after the Meiji period. First, I counted the “potential verb”, “reru·rareru” and “kotogadekiru” that had been used in the selected twenty-four literary works. And then I analyzed the expective value's deviation that were calculated by the incidence rate and the expective value of the total usage rate. The research indicated that there was a gradual decrease in the usage rate of “reru·rareru” and “kotogadekiru”, while there was a gradual increase in the usage rate of “potential verb”. And there was a increase of “potential verb” in GODAN verb, an advent of “ra-removed word” in ICHIDAN verb and KURU, and a increase of “dekiru” in “SURU”. From this we can infer that verb for exclusive use of the possibility is spreading.
