연체수식절 내의 술부요소 제한에 대해서 -모달리티요소를 중심으로-

従来、日本語のモダリティ助動詞である「らしい」「ようだ」「だろう」については連体修飾節の中に現れにくいものとされてきた。しかし、実際の言語資料を見るとこれらのモダリティ助動詞は同じ言語環境の中でも頻繁に現れていることが分かる。そこで、本稿では連体修飾節の述部要素の中でもモダリティ助動詞の生起現象を中心にその生起制限の様相を観察し、このような制限が現れる原因について考察した。考察を行う上では、二つの観点から分析を行った。一つは、連体修飾文が作られる仕方による分類と、もう一つは修飾節と被修飾名詞との間の修飾関係という観点である。今回の分析から得られた結果は以下の通りである。Ⅰ.日本語のモダリティ助動詞「らしい」「ようだ」「だろう」は「外の関係」にある連体修飾節において現れやすい。Ⅱ.日本語のモダリティ助動詞「らしい」「ようだ」「だろう」は「非制限的修飾関係」において現れやすい。Ⅲ. 連体修飾節の述部に現れるモダリティ助動詞の生起制限は主に修飾節の独立性と、修飾節と被修飾名詞との間の緊密な意味関係に影響される。
Abstract
It has been widely assumed that Japanese modal auxiliary verb ‘rasii’ ‘youda’‘daroo’ is hard to appear in noun modifying sentences. However, we can find that they can frequently appear in same circumstances actually. Therefore, this paper aims to describe the restrictions on predicative elements,especially on modal elements, and explain the reason of these restrictions. We analyzed noun modifying sentences in two points. One point is the way they made of, and the other is the way they modify nouns. The results of the analysis are as follows. Ⅰ. Japanese modal auxiliary verb ‘rasii’ ‘youda’ ‘daroo’ can easily appear when noun modifying sentences are ‘SOTO’ clause. Ⅱ. Japanese modal auxiliary verb ‘rasii’ ‘youda’ ‘daroo’ can easily appear when they are on non-restrictive modification. Ⅲ. The reason of these restrictions deeply related to independency of the noun modifying sentences and intensity of combination between modifying clause and noun.
