発話動詞「いう」の条件形の文法化と語彙化 －「いうと」「いえば」が疑問文に接続する場合－

현대일본어의 발화동사「いう」의 조건형 「いうと」「いえば」가 쓰이는용법에는 「いうと」「いえば」가 동사성을 잃고 후치사, 접속조사, 접속사 또는 진술부사로 쓰이는 문법화와 어휘화 현상이 일어나는 경우가 있다. 본고에서는 「いうと」「いえば」가 의문문의 형식에 뒤따르는 경우에 나타나는 「いうと」「いえば」의 탈동사화에 대해서 고찰하였다.그 결과 「いうと」「いえば」는 기본적으로 「というと」「といえば」의형식으로 쓰이며 두 문장을 연결하는 접속조사로 기능하는 것을 확인하였다. 그리고 「というと」「といえば」가 접속하는 문장에 의문사가 있느냐 없느냐에 따라 그 의미·용법이 달라지는 것도 확인하였다. 의문사가 없는 경우 「というと」「といえば」는 전후의 문장을 反義的 관계로 묶는 접속사로 기능한다. 한편 의문사가 있는 경우 어떠한 의문사와 같이쓰이느냐에 따라 파생경로가 달라진다. 「どちら」와 쓰이는 경우는 화자의 태도를 나타내는 진술부사로, 「なに」와 쓰이는 경우는 보문표지와 접속사로, 「な ぜ」와 쓰이는 경우는 인과관계를 나타내는 접속조사와 접속사로 기능한다.
Abstract
In modern Japanese, the conditional forms of the locutionary verb iu (‘to say’), iuto and ieba, may lose their verbalities but the phenomenon of the grammaticalization and lexicalization used as postposition, connective particle, connective or sentence adverb may occur. This paper examined the deverbalization of iuto and ieba in the case where iuto and ieba follow the interrogative sentence. As a result, it is confirmed that iuto and ieba are basically used in the forms of toiuto and toieba -originally, to is a marker of quotation-. And these forms are used to as the connective particle to connect the two sentences. Also, it is affirmed that the meaning and usage of toiuto, toieba depends on the existence of the interrogative in the connected sentence. In the absence of the interrogative, toiuto and toieba function as a connective linking the context in the adversative relationship. In the presence of the interrogative, the path of derivation depends on what interrogative is used. For example, when they are used with dochira (‘which’ or ‘where’), iuto and toieba are derived into the sentence adverb indicating the attitude of the speaker, when nani (‘what'), into the complementizer and connective, and when naze (‘why'), functioned as the connective particle and the connective indicating the causal relationship.
