「反復性」と「習慣性」の異同について

Abstract

The author divided the repetitive movement representing certain abstract and potential situation into 「Iterative」 and 「Habitual」, being different from certain individual and substantial movement as a single event. These two movements are a continuance line, hard to be classified definitely, but they show different concreteness each other in their inner space according to the abstraction. The author considered different facts of these repetitive factors with several criteria in order to embody more the abstraction of this phenomenon. As a criterion that divides iterative and habitual, the author suggested the point of aspect･tense, the point of temporalization, regularity of the movements, the point of will, co-occurrence with adverbs and variation of set items. As the confrontation of aspect is neutralized for <Iterative> and then co-occurrence of ‘suru(スル)’ but ‘siteiru (シテイル)’ is possible but the confrontation of tense, they represents real and potential event. They have irregular and regular movement all and are shown in will･non-will subjects and individual･plural subjects all. They are essential for the co-occurrence with adverbs and pattern of ‘siteiru(シテイル)’ covers them but show themselves with the pattern of ‘suru(スル)’ However, in case of <Habitual>, as it is a potential event that consists of regular movement and where more abstraction is progressed, certain confrontation between aspect and tense is not shown. It is shown at a volitional subject and also shown at ‘suru(スル)’ pattern of volitional and motional verbs, which doesn’t co-exist with adverbs.
