초록
This article analyzed Kazue Morisaki's travel essay, "Kodama Hibiku Sanka no naka he" (1986). Based on the fact that travel and travel writings double cross real space and expression space, it was noted that travel essays become narratives to dismantle the historical meaning of a particular place related to her and discover new historical meanings. If the 1968 trip was based on a sense of atonement as a second-generation colonial power, the 1985 trip was to see the reality of "modern Korea" directly from the perspective of "women." Morisaki visited Korea in 1985 and discovered the new historical significance of modern Korea by visiting Daegu, Gimcheon and Geoje, where her colonial memories and scars are scattered. During this trip, Morisaki paid attention to Korean women from a "female" perspective. It describes a new image of Korean women who are becoming independent as "individuals" despite social contradictions by dismantling the existing image of Korean women suffering from traditional patriarchal ideology through encounters with many local women. Furthermore, through this, she discovered a similarity as an Asian woman who crosses national borders. As a result, Kazue Morisaki, a second-generation Japanese female traveler, shook her identity on the way to meet a new modern Korea, rejected the uniformity of Korean women, and led to the decentralization of Korea and Japan.
