Abstract
21st-century education emphasizes cultural competence and creative practice. As a form of global popular culture, K-pop combines complex elements such as music, dance, fashion, media, and language, offering significant potential as a learning motivation and cultural education resource in the context of school education (kindergarten through high school/K-16). This study proposes a theoretical and practical model for integrating K-POP into the K-16 curriculum through literature review and case analysis, and examines its educational value and feasibility. K-POP can provide high educational value when combined with the K-16 curriculum, and its feasibility is high when systematic instructional design, evaluation system, and teacher capacity enhancement are in place. The DNA education convergence model presented in this study serves as a starting point for field application and can be supplemented and expanded through policy support and research verification. However, future research should be conducted continuously, recognizing limitations such as issues of cultural commerciality, the need for more sophisticated evaluation, and ethical issues.
