본 연구에서는 부모-자녀 간 의사소통과 스트레스 대처가 청소년들의 스마트폰 중독에 미치는 영향과 이들 관계에서 자기통제력의 매개효과를 알아보고자 하였다. 이러한 연구목적을 달성하기 위해 수도권 지역에 거주하면서 스마트폰을 이용하고 있는 청소년들을 대상으로 설문조사를 실시하였다. 본 연구의 수집된 자료는 SPSS(Statistical Package for the Social Science) WIN 21.0 프로그램을 이용하여 빈도분석과 t-test, 일원변량분석, 상관관계분석, 다중회귀분석, 위계적 회귀분석, 그리고 Sobel Test을 실시하였다. 그 결과 다음과 같은 사실이 밝혀졌다. 첫째, 청소년들은 부모와 개방형 의사소통을 많이 할수록 스마트폰 중독이 낮은 것으로 나타났다. 둘째, 청소년들은 스트레스 대처 중 문제지향적 대처와 정서완화적 대처, 그리고 소망적 사고를 많이 할수록 스마트폰 중독이 낮은 것으로 나타났다. 셋째, 부모-자녀 간 의사소통이 스마트폰 중독에 미치는 영향과 스트레스 대처가 스마트폰 중독에 미치는 영향에서 자기통제력은 매개효과가 있는 것으로 나타났다. 이상에서 부모-자녀 간의 의사소통과 스트레스 대처는 스마트폰 중독에 영향을 미치며, 이들 관계에서 자기통제력의 매개효과가 있음을 알 수 있다. 이러한 연구결과를 볼 때, 부모-자녀 간 의사소통 향상을 위한 프로그램이 마련되어야 하며, 스트레스 관리가 학교보건의 주된 과제로 다루어져야 할 것으로 보인다.
Abstract
The purpose of this study was to examine the influence of parent-child communication and stress-coping on smartphone addiction and the mediating effects of self-control on the relationship between the two variables. The subjects in this study were the selected adolescent residents in the metropolitan area who were smartphone users. The collected data were analyzed by SPSS(statistical package for the social science) WIN 21.0, and frequency analysis, t-test, One way ANOVA, correlation analysis, multiple regression analysis, hierarchical regression analysis and Sobel Test were made. After a survey was conducted, the following findings were given: First, the teens were less addicted to smartphones when they had a more open communication with their parents. Second, as for stress-coping, problem-focused coping, emotion-alleviation coping and wishful thinking led to less smartphone addiction. Third, self-control produced mediating effects when parent-child communication affected smartphone addiction and when stress-coping affected it. As a result, it's found that parent-child communication and stress-coping pattern affected smartphone addiction, and that self-control had mediating effects on the relationship of the variables. The findings of the study suggest that the preparation of programs geared toward boosting parent-child communication is required, and that stress management should be handled as one of major tasks for school health.
