청각장애 노인의 직업재활과 복지욕구에 관한 연구

Abstract

The purpose of this thesis is to study plans to provide effective vocational rehabilitation and rehabilitation service for the old with auditory handicap through surveying difference of demands between the employed old and the unemployed old and difference of demands along the occurrence time of auditory handicap, with the subjects of the old with auditory handicap in Daegu. The results are as follows; First, as the results of the research on vocational condition of old with auditory handicap, only few of them had vocation, contrary to their desire for job. And it was shown that their reasons for having job were because of economic difficulty not for their leisure or self development. Second, in the difference analysis on the economic condition along their vocation, it was found that the house revenue of the group with vocation was higher than the other group without vocation, in that whether they have job or not affects their house revenue. Third, in the difference analysis, it was found that the percentage of the group with vocation using medical facilities of individual hospital level was lower than that of the group without vocation. But, as for demands for medical service such as medical testing, the group with vocation showed higher demands than the group without vocation. Fourth, as for their demands for welfare and vocational rehabilitation along the occurrence time of auditory handicap, it was surveyed that more of them were facing economic difficulty as the occurrence time of auditory handicap was earlier. In that, it means that many of the handicapped who had been excluded from education and employment since young have faced continuous economic difficulty.
