청각장애대학생의 정체감ㆍ농문화ㆍ장애인식에 대한 배경변인별 분석과 구조관계 연구

이 연구는 전국의 청각장애대학생 258명을 대상으로 정체감ㆍ농문화ㆍ장애인식에 대한 배경변인별 분석과 구조관계를 알아보기 위하여 조사연구로 수행되었다. SPSS 20.0과 AMOS 19.0을 사용하여 자료를 처리하였다. 연구 결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 청각장애대학생의 정체감과 농문화 요인에 영향을 미치는 배경변인은 장애등급, 부모의 수화 사용 능력, 장애시기, 청각장애 특수학교 경험 유무로 나타났다. 청각장애대학생의 장애인식 요인에 영향을 미치는 배경변인은 장애등급이었다. 둘째, 청각장애대학생의 장애등급과 특수학교 경험은 정체감에 영향을 미치고, 정체감은 농문화에 영향을 미치는 매개 역할을 담당하였다. 그러나 청각장애대학생의 배경변인이 직접적으로 농문화에 영향을 미치는 구조는 아니었다. 청각장애대학생의 배경변인은 장애인식 요인에 영향을 미치지 않으며, 또한 장애인식 변인은 농문화에 영향을 미치는 구조도 아니었다. 또한 청각장애대학생의 장애등급과 청각장애학교 경험 등과 같은 배경변인은 청력손실 정도에 직접적으로 영향을 미치는 것에 대하여 논의하였다. 결론적으로 청각장애대학생의 청력손실 정도가 정체감에 영향을 미치는 주요 변인이며, 이는 다시 농문화로 연계되는 경로 구조를 보인다. 청각장애대학생은 농문화보다 정체감이 먼저 형성되는 구조를 보인다고 이 연구에서는 또한 시사하고 있다.
Abstract
The purpose of this study was to analyze the structural relationship among identity, deaf culture, disability awareness based on the background variables of the hearing impaired college students. The 258 hearing impaired students who were studying at college or university were participated for this study. This study was designed by survey method. SPSS 20.0 and AMOS 19.0 were utilized for this study. The results of this study were that: (a) the degree of hearing loss, parental sign language skill, age of onset, and the experience to attend hearing impaired special school were important background variables to identity and deaf culture factors, and the degree of hearing loss was unique variable to disability awareness factor; and (b) the identity factor was offered by the factors of the degree of hearing loss and the experience to attend hearing impaired special school, however the deaf culture factor was no related with the background variables of the hearing impaired college students directly. Also the background variables of the hearing impaired college students were no related with the disability awareness. And the disability awareness was no related with the deaf culture factor directly. Therefore this study concluded that the degree of hearing loss was an important factor to influence to identity, and the identity factor was related to deaf culture. This study suggest that the identity was prior factor rather than deaf culture of the hearing impaired college students.
