초록

학령기가 되어서야 진단되는 학습장애에 대해 부모들은 많은 혼란과 어려움을 겪고 있으며, 우리 사회는 자녀의 장애 의뢰과정에 밀접한 영향을 미치는 부모의 양육경험에 대해 관심을 모으고 있다. 본 연구는 한국의 사회 문화적 맥락에서 학습장애학생 어머니의 부모튜터링 적응과정을 심층적으로 파악하기 위해 수행하였다. 연구 질문은 “학습장애학생 어머니의 부모튜터링 적응과정은 어떠한가?”이다. 본 연구는 질적연구로서 상징적 상호작용론에 기반한 근거이론연구이다. 연구 참여자는 주 참여자로 학습장애학생 어머니 4인, 부 참여자로 학습장애학생 교육경험이 있는 교사(일반 2, 특수 6) 8인, 의사(소아정신과 전문의) 4인, 교수(학습장애아교육 전공) 2인, 연구자 1인 이다. 연구의 자료는 대부분 면담(개별심층, 포커스그룹)을 통해 수집하였으며, Strauss와 Corbin(2008)의 근거이론분석방법에 의거하여 자료를 분석하였다. 연구 결과, 학습장애학생 어머니들의 부모튜터링 적응과정이 의미하는 바는 ‘당당한 부모로 재탄생하기’로 나타났다. 이것은 ‘인과적 조건’, ‘작용ㆍ상호작용 전략의 5단계 (혼란기-직면기-좌절기-도전기-수용기)’를 거쳐 ‘결과’, 그리고 이러한 과정에 영향을 미치는 ‘중재적 조건’을 포함하는 “패러다임”으로 설명되었다. 본 연구는 학습장애학생 어머니가 양육에서 겪는 사회 심리적 적응과정을 자녀와의 상호작용인 부모튜터링 과정으로 고찰하고, 교육과 의료와의 상호작용과정을 통해 이해를 도모했다는 점에서 시사점을 가진다.

Abstract

Parents are experiencing a lot of confusion and difficulties for Learning disabilities that is to be definition only to be at school age. And our society is focused on attention for their parents’ parenting experience which has a close impact on the process of requesting theirs children’s disabilities. This study conducted to deeply understand for the psychosocial adjustment process of parent tutoring for mothers who have students with LD in the socio-cultural context of Korea. The study question was “What about the psychosocial adjustment process of parent tutoring for mother who has a student with LD ?” This study is qualitative research of grounded theory(G.T) which is based on symbolic interactionism. The study of participants as main participants are 4 mothers, as assistance participant are 8 school teachers(general 2, special 6), 4 medical doctors(pediatric psychiatric psychiatrist), 2 professors(major in special education for students with LD), 1 researcher. The Data of this study were mainly collected through interviews that is, individual in-deep interviews and focus group interview(FGI), and data analysis were based on the grounded theory analysis method of Strauss & Corbin(2008). The result of the study, the meaning of the adjustment process of parent tutoring for mothers who have students with LD were found as “being reborn as parent with confidence”. It was explained as paradigm next follows: that is inclusive in ‘causal condition’, 5steps of ‘action interaction strategy process(chaotic - face to face - frustration - challenging - acceptance period)’ and ‘result’, and ‘mediational condition’ that is affecting this process. This study has implications in that it considered as parent tutoring which is interaction parent between their child and made together with understanding through the process of interaction in education between medical.
