UDL 기반 어휘지식 프로그램이 읽기장애학생의 어휘지식에 미치는 효과

초록

읽기에서 어휘지식은 읽기이해를 위해 필요하고 중요하다. 본 연구의 목적은 읽기에 어려움을 가진 읽기장애학생의 어휘지식 향상을 위해 보편적 학습설계의 원리와 웹 테크놀로지를 활용하여 UDL 기반 어휘지식 프로그램을 개발하고, 현장 적용가능성을 알아보기 위해 읽기장애학생을 대상으로 어휘지식에 미치는 영향을 알아보는 것이다. 이를 위해 UDL 기반 어휘지식 프로그램을 개발하였고, 초등학교 읽기장애학생 2명을 대상으로 단일대상연구 중 대상자간 중다기초선 설계를 통해 어휘지식 프로그램을 15회기에 걸쳐 실시하였다. 연구의 결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 읽기장애학생의 특성과 초등학교 국어교과서의 어휘를 바탕으로 UDL과 웹을 적용하여 15회기의 어휘지식 프로그램을 개발하였다. 둘째, 초등학교 저학년 읽기장애학생 2명에게 적용한 결과 중재가 진행됨에 따라 어휘지식이 향상되었고, 그 결과 사전검사보다 사후검사에서 어휘지식이 향상되었다. 그러므로 보편적 학습설계 기반 어휘지식 프로그램은 읽기장애학생의 어휘지식 향상에 효과적임을 알 수 있다.

Abstract

In reading, vocabulary knowledge is necessary and important for reading comprehension. The first purpose of this study is to develop a universal design for learning(UDL)-based vocabulary knowledge program using UDL principles and web technology to improve the vocabulary knowledge of students with disabilities who have difficulty reading. The second purpose is to examine the effect of vocabulary knowledge on students with reading disabilities in order to find out the applicability of the field. To achieve this research purpose, a UDL-based vocabulary knowledge program was developed, and a vocabulary knowledge program was conducted over 15 sessions by multiple baseline design between subjects for two elementary school students with reading disabilities. The results of this study are as follows:First, based on the characteristics of students with reading disabilities and the vocabulary of Korean language textbooks in elementary schools, 15 sessions of vocabulary knowledge programs were developed by applying UDL and the web. Second, as a result of applying it to two elementary school students with reading disabilities, vocabulary knowledge improved as the intervention progressed. Therefore, the UDL-based vocabulary knowledge program is effective for improving the vocabulary knowledge of students with reading disabilities.
