장애학생을 위한 시민성 교육의 변천: 특수교육 기본교육과정 사회과 목표를 중심으로

초록

본 연구의 목적은 장애학생을 위한 시민성 교육의 변천상의 특징과 과제를 밝히는 것이다. 이를 위해 1974년부터 현재에 이르기까지 특수교육 기본교육과정 사회과의 목표를 지향하는 시민성의 하위 자질을 중심으로 분석하였다. 그 결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 시기에 따라서 강조하는 시민성의 하위 자질에 차이가 있다. 둘째, 시민성의 하위 자질의 제시가 체계적으로 이루어지지 않고 있다. 셋째, 시민성의 하위 자질을 구성하는 요소는 교과 측면보다는 학습자 측면을 반영해서 제시해 왔다. 이러한 결과를 바탕으로 장애학생 시민교육의 과제로서, 어떤 시민성의 하위 자질을 강조할 것인지, 하위목표에서 지식, 기술, 가치, 태도 등을 어떻게 연계할 것인지, 하위 자질로 제시해야 할 요소는 무엇인지 추가적인 논의가 필요함을 지적하였다.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to present the time-periodic characteristics and tasks of citizenship education for students with disabilities. For this purpose, the objectives of the social studies in the special education basic curriculum from 1974 to the present was analyzed focusing on the sub-qualities of citizenship. The results are as follows. First, there was a difference in the sub-qualities of citizenship emphasized according to the period. Second, the sub-qualities of citizenship was not systematically presented. Third, the factors that constitute the sub-qualities of citizenship have been presented by reflecting the learner's aspect rather than the subject aspect. Based on these results, it was pointed out that as a task of citizenship education for students with disabilities, it is necessary to further discuss which sub-qualities of citizenship should be emphasized, how to link knowledge, skills, values and attitudes in sub-objectives, and what factors should be presented importantly as sub-qualities.
