성인 발달장애인을 위한 시민참여교육 프로그램 적합화 및 참여자 경험 질적 사례연구
A Qualitative Case Study on Instructional Adaptation and Participant Experience in a Citizen Participation Education Program for Adults With Developmental Disabilities

이 연구의 목적은 기존에 개발된 시민참여교육 프로그램을 성인 발달장애인에게 적용하여 프로그램 적합화 과정에 대한 정보를 제공하고 참여자들의 프로그램 참여 경험을 심층적으로 분석하는 데 있다. 학습자 6명, 연구협력팀 3명, 프로그램 강사 및 관찰기록자 9명, 보호자 6명이 연구에 참여하였다. 자료 분석을 위해 참여관찰을 통한 관찰일지, 프로그램 강사 및 보호자 대상 심층면담 자료, 프로그램 문서 등을 수집하였고, 실용적 절충주의에 기초한 포괄적 분석절차에 따라 주제분석 기법으로 코딩하였다. 연구 결과, ‘프로그램 적용을 위한 적합화의 실제’에 대한 9개의 상위범주와 21개의 하위범주가 도출되었고, ‘연구 참여자의 경험’에 대한 5개의 상위범주와 13개의 하위범주가 도출되었다. 연구결과를 토대로 성인기 발달장애인의 시민참여교육 프로그램 활성화를 위한 논의를 제시하였다.
Abstract
The purpose of this study was to apply an existing citizen participation education program to adults with developmental disabilities, provide information on the program adaptation process, and conduct an in-depth analysis of participants' experiences in the program. A total of six learners, three research team members, nine program instructors and observation recorders, and six guardians participated over the course of the study. For data analysis, observation journals from participatory observations, in-depth interview materials with program instructors and guardians, and program documents were collected. The data were coded using thematic analysis techniques following a comprehensive analytical procedure based on pragmatic eclecticism. The study results yielded nine major categories and 21 subcategories related to the actual adaptation of the program, as well as five major categories and 13 subcategories concerning the experiences of the study participants. Based on these findings, discussions were presented to promote both the activation and expansion of citizen participation education programs for adults with developmental disabilities.
