초록
Every words are combined in a sentence by their grammatical categories and grammatical elements. There may be two points viewing the grammar, one is to take grammar as a structural standpoint and the other is to take it as a tool of thinking processes. The former standpoint has little meaning in teaching grammar to native speakers. Structural statements about grammar are all about native speakers' knowledge in minds already bearing in their minds, hence they have little utility in everyday use. From logical and textual point of view grammatical elements and categories synthesize concepts into proposition, propositions into more complex ones. In teaching grammar the latter viewpoint may have great significance to students of native speakers. They can make more elaborate propositions by teaching grammar combined with thinking processes in their early classes. Contents of teaching adjective words were specified in this paper. (1) Adjectives should be taught by composing sentences. This will make students connect words with their meaning and corresponding world. (2) Words can be classified by the meanings. (3) Words representing speakers' sensation of the objects can be recommended to convert them into more objective/real expressions. (4) Words conveying speakers' feeling should be filled up with the reason of such feelings. (5) Words of evaluation must be stated fully with the description of such evaluation. (6) Demonstratives should be distinguished between objects and attributes that they indicate.
Abstract
Every words are combined in a sentence by their grammatical categories and grammatical elements. There may be two points viewing the grammar, one is to take grammar as a structural standpoint and the other is to take it as a tool of thinking processes. The former standpoint has little meaning in teaching grammar to native speakers. From logical and textual point of view grammatical elements and categories synthesize concepts into proposition, propositions into more complex ones. (3) Words representing speakers' sensation of the objects can be recommended to convert them into more objective/real expressions. (4) Words conveying speakers' feeling should be filled up with the reason of such feelings. (5) Words of evaluation must be stated fully with the description of such evaluation.
