Abstract
This study introduces the logic of hierarchical linear model(HLM) which is used in organizational research. It discussed the considerations and suggest the method how to break the limitations. Organizational research is general that member is influenced by structural characteristics of organization. Traditional method for examples regression analyzation limited in cross level analyzing. But HLM has the advantage of analyzing the cross level research model. This research provide the example with multi level model consisting of personal lebel variable and organizational level variable. There is individualistic fallacy or ecological fallacy in the organization and organizational behaviour study according to interpreting of variable level. HLM is reduce the misinterpreting of analysing outcomes. The analysing using HLM can be tested cross effect between the personal level and organizational level. Also it can be reduced the level issues. So this research suggest theoretical and practical implications. But data structure is to be multi level, the analyzing process is strictly to be managed for the applying the HLM. it must consider which method is suitable for data analysing. if HLM is required, centering or not, the meaning of cross effects between the level, sample size for secure the statistical power each levels should be checked. First of all, It is important thing for the applying the HLM that the strength and weakness of HLM should be understood for applying HLM
