초록

It is well established that sign languages are distinct languages with their own structure, but they also have loan words using their own constraint parameter rules or strategies. Firstly, grammatical borrowings from spoken languages can be found across most sign languages. Secondly, these foreign forms examined here commonly appear as a combination of loan translation and the use of manual alphabet such as Korean alphabet fingerspelling signs, Chinese haracter signs and English alphabet fingerspelling signs respectively. Thirdly, KSL and CSL commonly offer a unique perspective in discovering how aspects of cognition interact with spoken languages. Additional scientific and logical research on the cross-modal linguistic study between spoken languages and sign languages is obviously needed.
