Abstract

The purpose of this study is to examine relationship between high performance human resource management and organizational commitment. On the bases of the previous researches, it is assumed that high performance HRM, such as high level of salary, evaluation based on performance, inter-communication, job security, has a positively effect on affective commitment. HRM managers(N=1,425) were reply to the HR practices of their company, and perceived organizational performance. Employee(N=3,595) were reply to the questionnaire employee attitudes(affective commitment, continuance commitment). To test the hypotheses, structural equation modeling was employed. The size of the firms, the age of company, and the presence of union were controlled in the model. Research findings are summarized as follows. First, high level of salary, evaluation based on performance, inter-communication, job security, has a positive and significant effect on affective commitment. Second, it was found that job security has a positive and significant effect on continuance commitment.
