초록
The purpose of this study is to analyze metaphorical expressions that appear in press releases related to collective action by physicians, using the conceptual metaphor theory of cognitive linguistics. In this study, it was revealed that metaphorical expressions such as [THE PROCESS OF MEDICAL REFORM IS A JOURNEY], [COLLECTIVE ACTIONS BY PHYSICIANS ARE A TERRORIST ACT], [THE PHYSICIAN GROUP IS A NEGOTIATION PARTNER], and [THE GOVERNMENT IS AT THE HEART OF PROBLEM-SOLVING] appear in policy news. What these metaphorical expressions imply is, first, that the government is constantly moving forward to solve the current problem. In addition, the government regards collective action by physicians as an urgent crisis situation and has examined the ‘Activist’ conceptualization aspect that it will actively intervene without leaving the current crisis situation any longer.
