헤겔은 모순율을 부정했다고 주장하거나 변증법은 일반논리학과는 다른 논리학이며, 거기에서는 모순이 용인된다고 주장하는 많은 사람이 있다. 그러나 모순율은 그 누구도 부정할 수 없고, 모순율을 폐기하고서는 그 어떤 주장도 성립할 수 없다. 헤겔의 변증법 혹은 변증적 사유는 논리학이 아니라, 대상 혹은 진리를 파악하기 위한 사유의 방법이다. 이러한 오해를 해소하기 위해서는 헤겔이 논리적 모순 외에도, 현실에 존재하는 여러 종류의 갈등이나 대립적인 요소와 힘들에 대해서도 모순이라는 용어를 사용하고 있다는 점을 이해하는 일이 필요하다. 이를 위해 우선 동일율⋅모순율에 대한 헤겔의 견해를 살펴보고, 헤겔 및 헤겔 비판자들의 문제점을 검토한다.
Abstract
Many People think that Hegel dinies the law of identity or that dialectic is a kind of logic and this logic allows contradiction. But the law of contradiction cannot be denied by anyone, and no assertion can be sustained with abolition of this law. Hegel's Dialectic or Hegel's dialectical thinking is not a logic, but a way of thinking, with which we can grasp the object or the truth. In order to clear up such a misunderstanding is needed to understand that Hegel uses the expression 'contradiction' not only for the logical contradiction, but also for diverse conflict or opposite elements and forces and antagonism, and so on. For this purpose, Hegel's view of the law of identity and the law of contradiction ist first surveyed and the problems of Hegel and of the critics of Hegel are examined.
