이 논문은 탈형이상학 시대의 종교를 생활종교로 규정하려고 한다. 탈형이상학 시대에서는 전통적인 자연신학이 퇴조하면서 종교의 의미를 삶 속에서 찾으려고 하는 생활종교가 부상한다. 이 글은 교리종교가 생활종교로 이행하는 과정을 추적한다. 탈형이상학은 근대 형이상학의 토대가 된 계몽의 비판에서 출발하며 미완의 계몽을 완성하려고 한다. 이것은 계몽에 대한 계몽이다. 종교에서 계몽에 대한 계몽은 기존 종교에 대한 비판과 새로운 의미 추구의 종합이다. 새로운 종교에서 중요한 것은 현재의 의미 있는 삶이며 이를 가능하게 하는 새로운 초월의 발견이다. 생활종교는 삶의 의미를 추구하는 개인의 종교이며 최종심급의 해석지평을 지향하는 삶의 형식이다. 생활종교는 깨어있는 의식의 체험에서 나온다. 개인의 초월적 체험은 공동체적 체험으로 연결되며, 공동체적 체험의 종교는 종교문화로 나타난다. 종교문화는 종교적 삶의 해석과 동근원적이다. 삶의 해석과 연관된 생활종교는 종교의 미래를 가능하게 한다.
Abstract
This paper aims to determine the religion in postmetaphysical time as ‘lived religion’. In time of postmetaphysics the natural theology declines, whereas the lived religion floats. The formal investigates the specific tenet of religion while the latter intends to find the meaning of religion in life. This paper traces a characteristic process of transition from dogmatic religion to lived religion. Postmetaphysics tries to complete the unfinished enlightenment of modern metaphysics. This is no less than so-called enlightenment of enlightenment. Enlightenment of enlightenment in religion means a synthesis of the critique of existing religions with the pursuit of new meaning of life. It is a matter of present meaningful life that is possible through finding out a new transcendence. Lived religion is a religion of individuals that pursues his own meaning of life, and futhermore it is a form of life oriented to the horizon of interpretation of final instance. Lived religion comes from an experience of awake consciousness. Individual lived experience of transcendence is associated with it’s communal experience in religious communication, and not least the religion of communal experience appears as the culture of religion. The culture of religion is equiprimordial with the interpretation of religious life. Lived religion that is correlated with the interpretation of life makes possible the future of religion.
