이 논문은 하이데거의 존재 이해 개념과 거리를 두려는 레비나스의 비판을 제시하려 한다. 레비나스의 하이데거 비판은 특히 전쟁(2차 세계대전) 이후 그의 글에서 두드러지게 나타난다. 레비나스의 비판은 하이데거가 중시했던 것, 즉 철학과 실존 사이의 연속성을 대상으로 한다. 그리고 타인의 윤리적 의미화가 이 비판의 결과로서 이어진다. 레비나스는 하이데거의 존재론의 우위에 대한 비판을 거치면서 하이데거와 결별하기에 이른다. 이것은 레비나스가 하이데거 철학에 대한 비판적 간극을 세우려 했던 “존재론은 기초적인 것인가?”라는 논문을 참조함으로써 알 수 있다. 또한, 1950년 2월 장 발(Jean Whal)이 주최하는 철학 학교에서 “먹을거리들”과 “가르침”을 주제로 레비나스가 강연을 하게 되는데, 여기서 우리는 앎의 발생 가능성과 관련한 레비나스의 철학적 입장을 엿볼 수 있다. 이를 통해, 하이데거 독해를 통해 형성된 레비나스의 고유한 입장도 살펴볼 수 있다. 이것은 레비나스가 삶과 실존, 철학과 실존의 분리로부터 타인을 위한 윤리로 나아가는 이행의 과정을 이해하는데 중요한 실마리가 될 것이다.
Abstract
This article attempts to present Levinas' criticism of distancing himself from Heidegger's concept of understanding of being. Levinas' criticism is particularly noticeable in his post-war writings. Levinas' criticism of Heidegger targets what he valued, that is, the continuity between philosophy and existence. And the ethical meaning of others leads to the result of this criticism. Levinas breaks up with Heidegger through criticism of Heidegger's ontological advantage. This can be seen by Levinas referring to a paper called "Is ontology fundamental?" to establish a critical gap in Heidegger's philosophy. In addition, Levinas gave a lecture on "Foods" and "Teaching" at the philosophical College hosted by Jean Whal in February 1950, where you can see Levinas' philosophical position on the possibility of knowing. Through this, we can examine Levinas' unique position formed through Heidegger's reading comprehension. In other words, this is life and existence. With the separation of philosophy and existence, this will be an important starting point for Levinas to explain ethics for others.
